WHO ARE WE?
The Youth Braiding Academy offers a unique program designed to enrich the lives of youth between the ages of 11-17 by providing them with hair braiding skills and entrepreneurship training. Our engaging and interactive program is suitable for a wide range of settings, including public and private schools, home school environments, churches, parks and recreation areas, and government agencies. Our program is flexible and can be scheduled during or after school hours, as well as during spring and summer breaks.
Our program aims to inspire young people to pursue their passion for hair braiding and turn it into a profitable business venture. We believe that anyone who can braid has the potential to start their own successful business, and we are dedicated to helping youth achieve this goal. With our comprehensive training and hands-on approach, we equip young entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge they need to turn their passion into a thriving business.

Join us in championing the skills of our talented students in the Annual Youth Braiding Competition! We are inviting volunteers to come forward and become an integral part of this event. By volunteering, you won’t just receive a beautifully braided hairstyle for FREE, but you’ll also play a crucial role in our students’ journey to success. Your participation will allow our students to gain practical experience and confidence in their abilities.
Each participant will be recognized for their hard work and dedication with a certificate, celebrating their commitment to learning this art form. Our standout students will also receive prizes, adding an extra element of excitement to the competition.
